SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Service Parts Sales Representative

Reporting directly to Ownership, Service Parts Sales Representative will assist in determining Accessory and Parts requirements for Sales and Service. On an on-going basis this person will request Accessory/Parts orders from stock where available, and where unavailable will place orders for Accessory/Parts required to complete Sales and Service work orders. This person will monitor all outstanding orders and keep the managers of those departments informed on a daily basis.

Responsibilities Include
• Ensure department satisfaction
• Request and acquire parts from stock as required for completion of work orders/ sales deals in progress and supply to service and sales representatives
• Keep managers apprised of any emergent/unresolved issues
• Monitor refunds and exchanges that do not follow store policy
• Review and conform evaluations for accuracy with technicians/salesman prior to ordering
• Review repair orders
• Place orders for service/sales for the completion of work orders where parts are not currently available from stock
• Inform service/sales of all parts backordered or not available and the estimated time of their arrival
• Complete urgent requests from service department in a timely manner
• Ensure completion and documentation of all parts orders
• Take customer phone calls regarding parts
• Complete insurance estimates

Education and Experience
• Experience working with parts in motorcycle industry an asset
• High school diploma
• Good communication skills
• Strong ability to multi task
• Strong computer skills
• Experience with Lightspeed an asset
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Mechanic/ Technician

As a Journeyman Technician you are responsible to perform preventive and general, on-going, repair and maintenance of powersport products and monitor the progress of apprentice mechanics as part of the district approved apprentice program to ensure a well functioning Service centre.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain a culture with a passion for customer service

• Assist the Customer Care Representatives teams in meeting and exceeding company objectives and goals
• Continually analyze and make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the operations and create a culture for continuous improvement
• Performs general maintenance and repairs on powersport products.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections (PMI’s).
• Troubleshoots, repairs and rebuilds engine components, transmission, drive train, Suspension, cooling system, electrical/electronic system, fuel system, hydraulic system, brakes, steering and exhaust system.
• Performs various modifications to powersport products as directed.
• Designs and fabricates specialty and other equipment as directed.
• Trains apprentice mechanics and may directly supervise hourly helpers.
• Performs minor powersport product repairs.
• Completes necessary documents for maintenance records.
• Responsible for shop cleanliness. Skill Requirements:

Sales & PDI Technician

Reporting directly to the Sales / PDI Administrator, the Sales & PDI Technician is responsible for performing assigned, required repairs, set-ups and PDI inspections on new vehicles, used vehicles and equipment in a prompt, efficient manner to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:
• Ensure customer satisfaction by completing identified installations and adjustments correctly -install accessories on sold units prior to delivery
Verify and accurately diagnose any mechanical problems and conduct appropriate repairs using proper procedures on any new/used or demo units -obtain proper authorization for all installations and adjustments as required -perform additional adjustments as required
Order parts to complete installations/adjustments from service partsman.
Assemble units for floor and sales as required
• Prepare new and used units for shipping
• Conduct static tests of completed installations/adjustments of other sales & PDI technicians workmanship as required
• Ensure accurate estimates and adhere to same on all trade in and cash buy units
• Make notations of existing damage on customer vehicles prior to commencing work.

Education and Experience
• Experience working with parts in motorcycle industry an asset
• High school diploma
• Good communication skills
• Strong ability to multi task
• Strong computer skills
